August 2009: Parris Island, N Co, Plt 4025

Corporal DeAndria L. Hardy joined the United State Marine Corps in the summer of 2009 as enlisted personnel. Following recruit training, Marine Combat Training, and MOS school she served as an Ammunition Technician with Detachment One, Ammunition Company of Rome, GA. Throughout her tenure, Cpl Hardy served her fellow Marines though taking on the small unit leadership roles of FireTeam Leader and providing counseling and instruction to junior Marines. She received several Meritorious Mast for leadership and academic achievement.

In the summer of 2012 Cpl Hardy deployed to Dakar, Senegal in support of Operation Western Accord. While in country she continued her leadership as Squad Leader of the Ammunition Section, which was responsible for support of the operation. Following her return to the states and decommission of Detachment One, Ammo Co., she completed a lateral move to Data Networking Specialist. She remained with Combat Logistic Regiment – 45 of Marrieta, GA until the end of her service.

Cpl Hardy was honorably discharged in April 2014.
